Launched by Governor Kimani Wamatangi, the Kiambu Champions Cup Football Tournament is an annual event aimed at creating job opportunities through sports and strengthening the sports sector. Over 600 teams from all 60 wards in Kiambu County have registered to participate. The tournament offers substantial prizes, with the winning team set to receive KSh 500,000, second place KSh 250,000, third place KSh 100,000, and fourth place KSh 50,000.
