Paul Koinange contributes towards universal health coverage for Senior citizens and Vulnerable persons

Hon Paul Koinange Member of Parliament Kiambaa Constituency yesterday contributed towards universal health coverage for 680 Senior citizens and Vulnerable persons from the five wards in Kiambaa Constituency amounting to 4,080,000/= Million in the provisions of affordable, accessible , sustainable and quality health insurance through strategic resource pooling and health care purchasing in collaboration with Ng-cdf Kiambaa Constituency and NHIF.

The Event was graced by Deputy Governor Dr. Joyce Ngugì, Regional NHIF CEO, Country NG-CDF CEO among other leaders.

The beneficiaries will benefit from quality health services where and when they need them without suffering financial hardships.

On 12th December 2018 , President UHURU KENYATTA declared Universal Health Coverage to be a national priority in Kenya as part of Big four Agenda for National Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mheshimiwa added that Quality affordable healthcare is the foundation for individuals to lead productive and fulfilling lives more so Health is wealth and a foundation investment in human capital in economic growth hence without good health adults are unable to go to workStatistics shows that thousands of people are impoverished by health expenses every year.
